Brittany Carter is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and owner of Rising Hope Therapy LLC. She is extensively trained and experienced in treating various mental health struggles of both adults and children. Her core belief is that individuals have the capacity for growth and healing within themselves through integration of evidenced-based approaches. She offers new perspectives and gentle guidance while you design the path for your life.
Her niche is working with adults with anxiety-related disorders as well as OCD using Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) models of treatment. ERP is the gold standard for treating anxiety and OCD disorders. Brittany is particularly fond of working with young adults (18-30 years of age) struggling with managing change and transitions (i.e. graduating from college, starting new career, relationship struggles, etc).
She is extensively training and nearing certification in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) for children and teenagers who have experienced acute or complex trauma. Often these children begin their care suffering with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder due to the trauma, however are able to heal effectively with ongoing treatment.
Brittany is also thoroughly trained in Rapid Resolution Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and expressive/play therapies. The therapy modality utilized is decided based upon the client’s presenting needs. She has worked for over a decade serving individuals with co-occurring disorders, anxiety, depression, school-related issues, trauma, and more. She strongly believes in brain-body based approaches, that work to heal the internal functions (dysregulated nervous system) that impact healing.
Last but certainly not least, Brittany is of Christian faith and enjoys working with others to incorporate biblical truths into their treatment, when the client has expressed desire in such work.

Ms. Brittany has been my teenage daughter’s therapist for 5 months. We’ve seen improvements in her self-image, anxiety, depression and courage. Ms. Brittany is the 3rd therapist we’ve tried and by far has been the most effective at getting our daughter to want to make improvements and feel good about the progress. She looks forward to her weekly sessions and the accountability Ms. Brittany provides. We are starting to see socialization and genuine smiles and her true personality.
